SHORELINE - A case of mistaken identity briefly raised hopes that a Shoreline man missing since Friday had been found. A Community Transit driver Wednesday believed he'd found Hilmer D. Jager, 79, who has been missing since setting off to visit a friend in Snohomish last week.

28 August 2008 There are possible sightings of a 69-year-old man who went missing from his West Auckland home three days ago. Brian Jones was last seen by a friend walking in Don Buck Rd in Massey at about 3.30pm on Monday. He suffers from dementia and ill health.

A new study shows that older people's mental skills start declining years before death, even if they don't have dementia. The study is published in the August 27, 2008, online issue of Neurology, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology.
